Chemical Awareness Program

"The Chemical Awareness Program (CAP) is an educational diversion program designed for teens who have been caught using drugs/alcohol on or off campus. Teens, along with their parents, attend two, three-hour sessions to learn about the dangers of chemical use and abuse, the risk factors that lead to substance use, and strategies to improve family communication, trust, and monitoring. The sessions are schedule in the evenings at Coronado High School."
Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) Students: All CAP sessions will be held in the Media Center at Coronado High School, 7501 E. Virginia Ave. Scottsdale, AZ 85257. Each session consists of 2 evening meetings, 3 hours in length from 6 pm to 9 pm. At least one parent/guardian must accompany and participate with the youth. Upon program completion, each student will receive a certificate verifying participation.
Preregistration is necessary at least 48 hours prior to class. Class size is limited. To register: call 480-443-3100.
