P.A.N.D.A. Developmental Preschool

A Whole Child Learning Program

We are very proud of our P.A.N.D.A Program, a whole child learning program in the Scottsdale Unified School District.  P.A.N.D.A. is a program within Special Education that offers numerous advantages and opportunities to students with identified needs as well as neurotypical peers.  

This program prioritizes increasing participation of neurotypical peers to foster an inclusive environment for all children and prepare them for a successful kindergarten experience. Here are compelling reasons to consider this program:

• Inclusivity: P.A.N.D.A. promotes a diverse and inclusive setting, allowing children of all abilities to learn and grow together, fostering empathy and acceptance.
• Social Skills: Interacting with peers from various backgrounds helps children develop strong social skills, adaptability, and communication abilities.
• Early Intervention: The program provides early intervention and tailored support for all children ensuring they receive the attention and care they require.
• Kindergarten Readiness: P.A.N.D.A. prepares children for a successful transition to kindergarten, equipping them with the skills and experiences they need for a smooth educational journey.
• Low student teacher ratio.  

• All preschool classrooms in Scottsdale are licensed through the Arizona Department of Health (AZDHS). 

 Students with identified needs are provided individualized services in an inclusive preschool environment that offers comprehensive support specified by their IEP. All students determined eligible for and in need of full preschool programming (through a formal evaluation process - either through the Scottsdale Child Find Process or through another district/state child find process), attend free of charge.  

Neurotypical peers enrolled in our preschool classrooms will have a small monthly fee of $200 per month starting Aug 2024.  For more information on peer role model opportunities, click here.
