GEAR UP Program
GEAR UP stands for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs. We provide FREE services to students and their families at Coronado High School to develop plans based on the 5E’s of Equity, which engage, empower, elevate, and enrich students and help them achieve success after high school, whether it’s a 4-year university, community college, technical school, or another career option. GEAR UP believes every student deserves educational opportunities after high school, and every student and family should receive information to pursue all opportunities.
SUSD is excited to offer the Seal of Biliteracy program to eligible seniors. This program is designed to recognize high school students who achieve proficiency in English plus at least one additional language. The seal is placed on the student’s diploma, noted on the transcript, and students will be recognized at graduation. Learn more here.
Coronado High School is excited to offer the Seal of Arts program to eligible seniors. This program is designed to recognize high school students who complete arts pathway requirements throughout their high school career. The seal is placed on the student’s diploma, noted on the transcript, and students will be recognized at graduation. Learn more here.
Coronado High School has adopted College Board's PreAP course framework. This rigorous and engaging program is designed to empower all students to experience high levels of success.
Advanced Placement (AP) Program
The Advanced Placement Program offers college-level courses and exams that you can take at Coronado High School through College Board
Dual Enrollment at Scottsdale Community College
Dual Enrollment provides high school students the opportunity to earn community college credits while still in high school—within the high school day—without having to leave the high school setting.
Career and Technical Education (CTE)
Coronado offers a variety of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. CTE programs focus on technical and professional skills that prepare students for post-secondary education and the workforce.
