Visitors & Volunteers

  • Parents who are scheduled to volunteer on campus are required to sign in at the front office, provide ID, and wear a visitor sticker any time they are on campus. Other adult visitors must make arrangements with the front office to visit our campus. Student visitors are not permitted.

    Mrs. Maggie Jerkovich is the assistant principal of Hopi Elementary School. Prior to joining SUSD, she established herself as a positive, collaborative, and solution-focused school leader during her career as a school psychologist. Mrs. Jerkovich is a native of Chicago, IL and served Northbrook/Glenview District 30 for seven years before moving to Phoenix and working in the Madison School District. Her professional passions include enhancing instructional outcomes for all students using systems of continuous improvement and professional learning communities, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and social-emotional learning. Her practice is rooted in strong, trusting relationships, and she aims to empower and advocate for students and educators every day.

    Mrs. Jerkovich earned two bachelor’s degrees at the University of Iowa, her master’s and specialist's degrees in school psychology from National Louis University, and her master’s degree in school leadership from Northern Illinois University.
