Jann-Michael Greenburg

Email: jmgreenburg@susd.orgJann-Michael Greenburg was elected to the Governing Board in 2018. After graduating from Arcadia High School in 2012, Jann-Michael attended law school at the University of Edinburgh School of Law in Scotland, from which he graduated with a First Class (Honours) LL.B. degree in 2016. He then worked for Deloitte UK LLP’s private equity tax team in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and initiated his chartered accountancy studies.
Jann-Michael returned to Arizona in the summer of 2017 to work as the Vice President of Tresóna Multimedia, a music copyright-licensing firm. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, he began volunteering at Yavapai Elementary School in September 2017. Jann-Michael is a fully licensed attorney in the state of New York and is a member of the New York Bar Association and American Bar Association.

Julie Cieniawski

Email: jcieniawski@susd.orgJulie Cieniawski has been a Scottsdale resident for over 27 years. Born and raised in New Hope, Minnesota, she attended neighborhood public schools and is a first-generation college graduate, receiving both her bachelor’s and master's degrees in education from the University of Minnesota. With more than 30 years in the classroom and as a community leader, Julie understands the importance of honest and transparent decision-making, the necessity of fiscal accountability and the need to prioritize resources towards student-relevant initiatives. She believes all students deserve to be successful and be inspired to follow their hopes and dreams.
Julie has been an advocate for public education at the local, state and national levels, supporting collaborative decision-making while serving on school and District committees on curriculum development, assessment and grading, teacher evaluation, restorative justice practices, middle schools, wellness, school safety, and school budgets. She has worked on SUSD Bond and Override oversight committees, served as Scottsdale Education Association President for three years, during which she supported best teaching practices, ideal learning environments and ensuring a commitment to excellence on every SUSD school campus, and served proudly on the Arizona Education Association’s Board of Directors for six years. Julie believes in treating students and school staff with respect and dignity, and, along with parents, including them in District decision-making processes. While an SUSD teacher, Julie received the Scottsdale Unified School District Foundation’s Quest for Excellence Award recognizing Excellence in Civic Leadership and was named a Scottsdale Charros Outstanding Teacher. Julie and her husband have two children, both of whom attended SUSD schools.

Patty Beckman

Email: pbeckman@susd.orgPatty Beckman was elected to the Governing Board in 2018. She and her husband both attended public schools, and are proud to be raising their children in Scottsdale Unified School District. The Beckmans’ twin daughters have been SUSD students since kindergarten and are now 10th graders at Saguaro High School, where they are enrolled in the Scottsdale Math and Science Academy. Patty has always been very connected to SUSD schools and has been a dedicated parent volunteer for almost a decade. Some of her most rewarding roles have been that of homeroom mom, volunteer with the “Yes to Children” campaign, silent auction committee member and Mohave Middle School PTO co-President.
Patty is a working parent and has enjoyed a successful 23-year career in finance. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Arizona State University and various finance licenses since then. She began her career with Smith Barney/Citigroup and is currently the head of finance for a private manufacturing company. Patty is not only a passionate public schools advocate, but is also a strong supporter of empowering women. A few of her favorite avenues of support have been teaching a non-credit class at Scottsdale Community College, “Women in Transition,” co-chairing an annual “Women’s Health and Wealth Symposium” with Scottsdale Healthcare and serving on the Board of Directors of Desert Stages Theatre. She is also proud to be a current member of The Scottsdale Charros Foundation. Patty and her family have a long history in Arizona and have been Paradise Valley residents for 20 years.

Zach Lindsay

Email: zlindsay@susd.orgZach Lindsay was elected to the SUSD Governing Board in 2020. He is a proud, traditional public school graduate, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in finance. Zach started his career with Citigroup in the Midwest, before moving to Arizona from Missouri in 2005. After arriving in the Valley, Zach started his own financial services practice, and has spent the last 18 years in the financial services industry. He has spent the past 14 years volunteering his time at various Valley schools in an effort to make positive differences for students and schools. Zach and his family moved to Scottsdale when their daughter was entering kindergarten to be able to take advantage of the excellent education SUSD provides. He has spent the past five years supporting SUSD schools through PTO/APT participation, advocating for operational improvements and financial transparency at the District level, and by communicating and building relationships with stakeholders.
