Session 1 starts on Thursday, May 30 and ends June 12
Session 2 starts on Friday, June 14 and ends Friday, June 28 (there is no class on June 19)
IF YOU ARE TAKING AN ONLINE CLASS - On the first day of the session (May 30 for session 1, June 14 for session 2), students will get an email with a link and directions on how to access the entire class. Online summer school is 100% asynchronous meaning there is no live instruction.
There is no set number of hours students are required to be online. However, the student must login the class by the 2nd day of the session or they will be dropped.
Typically, students should plan on spending 4-6 hours each day on coursework.
All assignments MUST be submitted before student opens the final exam. Any assignments submitted after the final has been opened will not be graded.

Forms that are submitted after 11:59pm on June 25 will not be accepted nor proccessed. THE DROP FORM IS NOW CLOSED

Please be sure you enroll in the CORRECT COURSE for the semester of the class you need. Please read this explanation to understand how the course codes differ for session 1 and session 2 as well as for in-person and online courses-
HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE SUMMER SCHOOL COURSE NUMBERS
Registration for Session 1 and 2 opens on Monday, April 15, 2024.

SUMMER SCHOOL DIRECTIONS FOR NON SUSD STUDENTS
(May 10th is the enrollment deadline for out of district students)
Summer School Details:
- Students from graduating classes of 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028 are eligible to enroll in high school summer school.
- Each session is 10 school days.
- Classes are offered online or in-person. In-person summer school will be at Coronado High School.
- Students must register by the deadline date:
- Session 1 registration deadline is May 21 (or until classes reach capacity)
- Session 2 registration deadline is June 6 (or until classes reach capacity)
Cost:
- $75/semester course for current SUSD students. (The cost for an additional .5 credit class is $100/.5 class per session)
- $200/semester course for students enrolled in a non-SUSD school.
- Course fees are non-refundable after the first day of the session.
In-person summer school:
- Classes will be held at Coronado High School, 7501 E. Virginia Ave., Scottsdale, Monday-Friday 7:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.
- Breakfast will be available free of charge, before school, for students enrolled in-person classes from 7:00 a.m. -7:45 a.m.
- Lunch will be available free of charge for students enrolled in-person classes from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.
- Transportation will be available to and from Coronado from Arcadia, Chaparral, Desert Mountain, and Saguaro high schools. Bus routes can be found here.
- Students who miss more than one day of class will be dropped from the course.
Online summer school:
- Students will have access to the entire semester of course material on the first day of the session.
- Students will access the course on their own time. There is no live instruction.
- Students should plan on spending 4-5 hours a day on course work.
- Students must take the course final exam online at the date and time that is pre-determined by the instructor.
- Students must log in to the course by the 2nd day of the session or will be dropped from the course.
